Introducing Caesars Rewards

Today Total Rewards announced changes coming to the loyalty program on February 1, 2019.  The Total Rewards name is being retired, with the new name being “Caesars Rewards”.  Caesars Entertainment just opened a brand new, non-gaming resort in Dubai and is building a new resort in Mexico.  They are making a push for the Caesars brand.  My guess is the re-branding of the loyalty program is part of that push.

Caesars is promising no negative changes to the program with the new name (we will see).  Announced are a few additions:

  • Platinum members and above will earn one free night in Las Vegas or Atlantic City for every 5,000 Tier Credits earned in 2019, up to 7 nights.  It isn’t clear if this free night can be redeemed at any property or only certain properties.  My guess would be it is for a base level room at any of the properties (space and dates permitting).
  • Diamond members and above will earn two free nights at the new Caesars Resort Dubai property each year.

I confirmed with Caesars that the free show tickets will remain in 2019 under the new program, despite not being specifically mentioned in the announcement.  The Diamond Celebration Dinner will remain.  The announcement does specifically state that Wyndham status match will continue.  Diamond status with Founders Card has not been confirmed.

A reminder that Tier Credits reset on January 1 and status resets on February 1 each year.
