Escape Lounge PHX T3 Review

Phoenix’s smaller terminal, Terminal 3, offers one option for Priority Pass members. The Escape Lounge is located in the central hall between the E and F gates just above the TSA checkpoint.

The lounge is quite small and during my visit the capacity was limited and required most people to get on a virtual waitlist.

A sign noted priority access for certain Amex card holders. I was able to walk up and bypass the line when I showed my Amex Platinum card.

The lounge is modern (as is the entire terminal) but during my visit on the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend packed and understaffed. While it doesn’t have any direct views to the outside, the large glass front allows natural light into the space.

As you enter, the area to the right is seating — both tables and more comfortable chairs.

The bar is to the left. You can order drinks at the bar if you are sitting at the bar; otherwise you are directed to have a seat and wait for a server to come take your drink order.

Just past the bar is the buffet area with a salad bar and hot bar.

There were a couple of hot pasta and rice dishes. Two separate times when I went to the buffet they were out of plates and forks. I’m sure if I had visited on a less busy day it would not have been so bad.

There is only one single-user restroom for the entire lounge.

Overall the small Escape Lounge at Phoenix Terminal 3 is not worth arriving early just for a visit. However, if you have some time before your flight and there isn’t a big line, it is a fine place to grab a drink and a snack before your flight.
