Aspire Lounge Zurich (ZRH)

Aspire Lounge Zurich (ZRH)

Zurich Airport, or Flughafen Zürich, is a modern airport and the hub for Swiss International Air Lines.  I ended up with a six hour layover between Tivat, Montenegro and Luxembourg after one of my flights was canceled in the chaos of summer 2022 travel.

The Aspire Lounge is located in the main terminal between the A and B gates.  It is accessible with Priority Pass.  If you have an overnight layover, I would recommend the Hyatt Regency at The Circle which is within walking distance of the airport.

To find it the Aspire Lounge, after going through security go up to Level 2.  If you are connecting from another flight, make your way to the A or B gates and then head to the central terminal.  The lounge is located roughly above the Burger King if you are looking for a landmark.  On Level 2 it is just past the Chalet Suisse restaurant.

Once you find it, head up stairs where you will see the reception desk for the lounges.

Once you check in, you can enter either of the Aspire Lounges — straight ahead or to the right.  They offer the exact same food and beverage options.  The only restroom is outside the lounges to the left of the welcome desk.

To the right is the larger of the two lounges.

The straight ahead lounge is slightly smaller but has views of the terminal.  Neither have views to runways.

Food and beverage is identical between the two.  During my visit around lunch time, there were cold sandwiches and yogurt, salad, soup, and two warm pasta dishes (no meat).

The beverages were all self service and offered a range of soft drinks and alcohol.  The drinks were in large bottles; you would get your glass and pour yourself your beverage.

I found a work station area in the smaller lounge that had various power outlets to charge my laptop and phone.  It had a glass partition that made it feel a bit more private and quiet.

I wish that the lounge had better food; the only protein to be found was in the rather stale sandwiches.

If you are leaving from the E Gates, I would strongly recommend that you visit one of the lounges out there as they have better food and are a nicer facility.  You can read my review of the nicer Primeclass Lounge at the E Gates.
