Primeclass Lounge Zurich
Zurich is a fantastic airport with a lot of options when it comes to lounges. I was flying out of the E gates on Qatar, the non-Schengen international departures satellite. As a oneworld Sapphire elite, I had access to the Primeclass Lounge near gate E45. There are four lounges in the E gates area — Emirates, Swiss, Aspire and Primeclass. They are all located above the gate level.
Access to the Primeclass Lounge is available for the following airlines as their business class lounge: Aeroflot, El Al Airlines, OmanAir, Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines, American Airlines, and Delta Air Lines. It can also be accessed through the following memberships: DragonPass, LoungeMe, Priority Pass, and TAV Passport. You can also buy a day pass to the lounge.
One thing to note is that the Primeclass Lounge is only accessible after passport control. So if you aren’t flying out of the E gates, you won’t be able to access the lounge.
There is a set of stairs and elevator near gate E45. Take the elevator up one floor to access the lounge.
Inside, there is a large number of various types of seats, TVs, and runway views from both sides of the lounge. There are plenty of outlets including international outlets and USB ports.
Along the center of the lounge are work stations.
There is an outdoor patio on each side, though only one side was open during my visit. Overall the lounge is extremely light and open.
In the back is the buffet along with a self service bar. There were four available hot dishes in addition to salads and desserts.
Bathrooms, a shower room, prayer room and premium suites were available at the back. The premium suites are essentially hotel rooms; which I assume are available for an extra fee or perhaps to certain passengers.
Overall the Primeclass Lounge at Zurich Airport is a modern, comfortable space. The food quality during my visit was just okay, but there are hot options as well as free alcohol.
