Cathay Pacific The Deck Lounge Review
The newest Cathay Pacific lounge in Hong Kong, The Deck opened in 2018 joining the likes of The Pier, The Wing and The Bridge.
The Deck is a Business Class lounge (though First Class guests can visit). It is located in Terminal 1 across from Gate 6.
An escalator takes you to the mezzanine floor and the lounge is straight ahead.
The decor is similar in style to other Cathay Pacific lounges with wood, dark metal, and brass fixtures. The main room has comfortable seating.
The next section is the noodle bar with restaurant style seating.
Around the perimeter, almost like some sort of deck, is patio seating overlooking the terminal.
In addition to the noodle bar, there is a self service buffet.
Just past the buffet is a relaxation/reading room.
The restrooms are across the way with a number of shower rooms (no wait during my visit).
The Bridge is just one more option of lounges to visit during your Hong Kong layover. Some may prefer the “under ground” exclusivity of The Pier, but I didn’t feel like I was out in the open like I do at The Wing.
Have you visited The Deck? What did you think compared to other Cathay lounges?
