SingleFlyer Top Posts of 2024

This year my top posts were a good mix of hotels, cruises, flights, lounges and a Vegas rumor thrown in for good measure. Below are the top 10 most viewed posts written in 2023.

10. Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor Review – The Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor is an older property in Boston, just a stones throw from the airport.

9. The Tribune Rome Hotel Review – Rome is about to get a new Thompson and Regency, but as of now, the Hyatt properties in the Italian metropolis are few and far between. My room at The Tribune had one major flaw that would prevent me from staying again.

8. Centurion Lounge Seattle Review – American Express updated their lounge at SEA; expanding the space above the central terminal with lots of natural light. While the space is nice, there is often a long line just to get in.

7. Celebrity Edge Alaska Cruise Review – My first Celebrity cruise took me to Alaska out of my hometown of Seattle. The Celebrity Edge is a fantastic modern ship and offers a number of solo Infinite Verandah staterooms.

6. Holland America Oosterdam Signature Suite Review – My two week summer cruise in a suite on HAL’s smaller and older Oosterdam through the Mediterranean.

5. Margaritaville Resort Coming to Las Vegas? – This was my speculative post after seeing an article about a new hotel being proposed on the north end of the Las Vegas Strip. Will it ever happen? Like many things proposed in Vegas, it probably will not.

4. Chase Sapphire Lounge Boston Review – During a mileage run, I had about an hour at Boston Logan International. I made a quick visit to the new Chase lounge.

3. Holland America Oosterdam Ship Review – I’ve sailed on Holland America’s new ships twice, but this was my first trip on their 20 year old vessel. 14 days around the Mediterranean. How did it compare to other cruise ships?

2. Holland America Koningsdam Verandah VB Stateroom Review – I booked a stateroom with an extra large balcony on my rainy Pacific Coast cruise in April. The modern Koningsdam is nearly identical to the Nieuw Statendam.

1. British Airways 787-10 Business Class Seattle to LHR – The most read post by far of 2024 was a review of my flight to London on BA’s new Club World product on the new 787-10 aircraft. It was also the most expensive flight I’ve ever purchased with cash.

Thank you for reading SingleFlyer. It is hard to believe I’ve been working on this project now for over a decade. While I don’t travel as much as I did during my first years of the site, it is still fun to reflect on my travels and to share them with anyone willing to do so.
