Helsinki is one of my favorite European hub airports. It is clean, updated, and easy to navigate. Finnair flies directly from many cities to Helsinki. It is a great way to get to anywhere in Europe.
In addition to the various Finnair lounges that can be accessed when flying oneworld Business or with status, there are also a few lounges that can be accessed via Priority Pass. Recently I was flying Helsinki to Vilnius and spent some time in the Aspire Lounge, located near Gate 27.
It is on a mezzanine level so you do need to go up some stairs. I believe you can also enter through an elevator near Gate 26 and then make your way to the front desk.
It isn’t a huge lounge but Helsinki isn’t a huge airport. During my visit, there were plenty of seats available.
As you first enter, there is an area with self serve beverages and a few small snacks. There is one beer on tap in addition to cocktails and soda.
At the back of the lounge is the buffet. I visited around breakfast and there were no hot options except oatmeal.
While the lounge isn’t one that I would arrive early to the airport just to visit, it does offer a comfortable area to wait for your flight. If you have access to the Finnair lounge, I would say that is the better choice.
