Luxor Tower Premium Room Review

Luxor Tower Premium Room Review

I’ve stayed at the Luxor previously in a Pyramid room and overall was not impressed.  I had a great offer for a Luxor Tower Premium Room over Memorial Day and decided to give it a try.  The rooms are much more modern and recently renovated.  I actually had booked a Tower Elite Room (which includes a mini fridge and wet bar) but none were available.  Instead I was downgraded to a Premium Room and offered a $50 credit for the downgrade.  Realistically, the rooms are nearly identical.

Room

I was assigned room 1320 in the East Tower (closest to the strip).  The room was on the first floor with zero view.

As you enter the room, the bathroom is on the right.  The room is large and has a good amount of empty space.  Overall it is modern and a bit dark.  Two chairs are against the window.  There is a small desk and wall mounted TV.  A large empty area is against the wall shared with the bathroom.

The rooms are much nicer than those in the Pyramid, even if you are on the first floor with no view.

Bathroom

The bathroom has had very few updates since being built 1998.  It is showing wear, but the property has decided not to invest a huge amount in order to keep it a budget resort.  There is a separate shower and tub which is a step up from many of the lower end properties on the strip.

While I would not stay in a Luxor Pyramid room again (until they are renovated out of the 1990s), I found the Tower rooms to be perfectly fine and comfortable.

Have you stayed at the Luxor?  Would you stay there again?
