Alaska Airlines app update

Alaska Airlines released their latest iOS mobile app today.  Alaska Airlines app update 4.1.7 now offers a digital version of users’ Mileage Plan membership card as well as Board Room membership card.  Both can be added to your Apple Wallet.

Typically I don’t carry my Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan card when I travel.  I don’t have Board Room membership.  Instead I gain access to the Board Room via my Citi Prestige or Amex Platinum Priority Pass cards.

I am sure there is a population of travelers that will benefit from this update.  And I am surprised the app didn’t have membership cards before.  Nice to see Alaska continuing to improve customer experience in the digital realm.

The update to the Android app will be released next week with similar updates.
