Qatar 777-300 First Class DOH-AMM
I flew in to Doha from Seattle on Qatar Airways’ Qsuite booked with American Airlines miles. My ticket, which cost 70,000 miles, was SEA-DOH-AMM with a 24 hour layover in Doha where I stayed at the Park Hyatt before traveling on in Qatar First Class to Amman.
My flight (QR400) was delayed by almost 2 hours which meant I got to spend some extra time in the Al Safwa First Class Lounge.
When it was time to board, I made my way down to Gate C11. While some gates have direct access from the First Class Lounge, mine did not.
My flight was on a 777-300 with six rows of Qsuites that Qatar Airways sells as First Class for flights in the Middle East. In that way, it was a very similar flight to my SEA-DOH leg. I picked Seat 3K as it offered the most privacy.
I was offered a pre-departure beverage. The only amenity kit on the flight was the COVID safety pack that includes gloves, mask and sanitizer.
The drink menu was the same as my Business Class flight. The food menu is below.
I started out with a glass of the sparkling rosé.
I had the Arabic mezze followed by the croquettes. The croquettes were bland but I guess I should have probably expected that.
I skipped the dessert but just before landing they passed out chocolate truffles.
I was a little disappointed that First Class on Qatar between Doha and Amman was really just Business Class. Still the Qsuites are fantastic and for a three hour flight I really had nothing to complain about.
