The Hyatt Centric Mountain View, with 167 rooms, opened in 2019. It is just one of three Centric properties in the Bay Area. I stayed over a weekend, when the rates seem to be lowest. I paid a cash rate of $142 a night plus $14 in taxes for a total of $156/night. There is no resort fee, but parking is $24/night. However, when I checked in they gave me a discounted parking rate of $12/night as it was my first time visiting. The property is a Category 5, and during my visit the points rate was 20,000 World of Hyatt points a night, so the cash rate was the better deal. I also had an Amex Offer for $75 back when I spent $300, so that brought down my out of pocket even more.
Location
The Hyatt Centric Mountain View is located in a development called the Village at San Antonio Center in Mountain View, California. Mountain View is part of Silicon Valley at the south end of San Fransisco Bay. It is about 30 minutes (23 miles) south of San Fransisco International Airport and 20 minutes (12 miles) northwest of San Jose Airport.
The hotel is in a residential/office development. Right next door is an Alamo Drafthouse theater and a number of restaurants. There is also a Walmart, Safeway, Whole Foods, and Trader Joe’s all within a short walk.
Check In
I arrived around 7pm and there was no line to check in. Details about the property (breakfast, parking, pool) were explained, I was given my two bottles of water, and my key.
The lobby reminds me a bit of Hyatt Place but nicer. You have the check in desk to one side and the bar and restaurant to the other side and that’s about it. It is modern and clean but not particularly warm or a place you would want to hang out.

I was assigned room 648, a Junior Suite, on the top floor. You do need your key to access the guest floors in the elevator.

There is a lot of art and whimsy throughout the property.

Room
The Junior Suite isn’t much bigger than a standard room, the difference is that there is a wall that divides the room into a seating area and the bedroom area.

As you enter, there is an open closet on the right (which seems pretty standard for the Centric brand) along with a desk and chair.

Next there is a seating area with a TV mounted on the dividing wall. There is also a coffee set up along with a mini fridge. The couch does fold out into a bed if you were traveling with kids.

On the opposite side of the wall is the bed that faces a second wall mounted TV.

The lighting in the room is nice, with spotlights on some of the art and accent lighting above the window and behind the bed.

There are outlets on each side of the bed with power outlets as well as USB A and USB C. The bed is fine, though some of the sheets were short and didn’t completely cover the duvet and mattress. It may have just been the way it was made up.

The view from the room is of an old mall that is currently (June 2026) being demolished and a gym.

A sliding barn style door separates the bed area from the bathroom. There is a light in the bathroom that stays on all night, so I closed the door and it kept the light out of the bed area.

Bathroom
The bathroom has a single vanity with a good amount of counter space. The toilet is off to one side and slightly separate (though doesn’t have a separate door).

The shower is large with both a rain shower head and handheld shower head. I found the water pressure to be excellent.

The bath products are the Centric standard BeeKind branded.
Pool and Fitness Center
The pool and hot tub are located on the second floor. The pool is partially undercover.

Just past the hot tub is a deck area which looks like could be used as a function space for events.

The fitness center is next to the pool. I found that they have cold filtered water in there that you can use to fill up a water bottle.

Breakfast
Breakfast is served at Fairchilds Public House off the lobby.

It is a la carte dining with a fairly standard selection of breakfast items.

The first morning I had the breakfast burrito, fruit plate, and an orange juice, and all items were removed from my bill as a Globalist. The breakfast burrito was a large portion but I found it bland.

The next morning I had the French Toast with the toppings from the waffle.

Overall the Hyatt Centric Mountain View is a fine hotel but not particularly memorable. You can find some good weekend rates as this seems to be mostly for people in business with the local tech companies.
