I applied for the updated Chase Sapphire Reserve on Monday, June 23. I was instantly approved. I previously received the Chase Sapphire Reserve (and sign up bonus) in 2016 when the card was first introduced. I also previously had the Chase Sapphire Preferred (and sign up bonus) in 2021.
After being approved, I called in to Chase and asked for the card to be expedited. I received the card today, June 25th.
The card came in a discreet white box.
A smaller box was set inside.
The smaller box opened and revealed a card from Sam Palmer, General Manager of Chase Sapphire.
Under the note is the card itself along with a small booklet about the card benefits.
The booklet folds out to highlight some of the benefits.
The redesigned card is metal and textured with the card number on the back.
The card carries a $795 annual fee. The sign up bonus I received is 100,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points plus a $500 travel voucher after $5,000 of spend in the first three months.
