Recently I spent a weekend in Denver for a training. The host hotel was The Art Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton. While I didn’t pay for the hotel myself; the rates generally looked like they were around $300 per night in the summer. I’m guessing you could find deals other times of the year or if you booked in advance.
In addition to the room rates, a $20 “Urban Destination Charge” is added for each night. It does get you free Lyft rides to destinations within 2 miles of the hotel; so make sure you use it to at least get back some of the bogus fee.
Location
The Art Hotel is located, appropriate, next to the Denver Art Museum and across the street from the History Colorado Center. It is also two blocks south of the Colorado capitol building.
I would say that the area closer to Union Station is more interesting, I suppose it depends on your needs while in Denver. I personally prefer the location of the Thompson. Like most places in Denver (and any city really), expect there to be some people on drugs and sleeping on the streets around the hotel.
Check In
I was able to check in through the Hilton app. One thing I like about Hilton is that you can select your exact room when checking in. I was able to snag a room on the top floor (Floor 9), even before getting to the hotel.
I took the train in from the airport and then an Uber from Union Station to the hotel. There is a porte cochere at the corner of Broadway and 12th. You enter on the 1st floor then take the elevator to the lobby on the 4th floor.

There is a lot of art throughout the property include this large piece just inside the entry.

On the 4th floor the elevators open into the lobby space. Check in is to the left while the outside patio and restaurant are straight ahead.

I was able to get some physical keys and it was also explained that as a Hilton Gold I would receive a $15 daily credit to use at the restaurant or their market in the lobby.
I headed up to the 9th floor. The elevators require your key to get to guest room floors. Outside the elevator was another large art print.

Room
I was picked Room 915, the only room available on the top floor. As you enter the room, the bathroom, with a sliding door, is to the left. A small bench for your suitcase or shoes is on the right.

Next there is the coffee set up on the left. The coffee is illy brand.

To the right is the closet with robe, iron, and safe.

Next to the closet is the TV on top of the dresser and mini fridge. Two small cans of Coke, two small cans of Diet Coke, and two bottles of water are provided each day. There were also some shortbread cookies provided on my first day.

The bed faces the TV.

There is a wall light on each side of the bed, along with outlets and USB chargers. One feature that I think many would find annoying is a small frosted glass section at the head of the bed that connects to the bathroom. While it is frosted so privacy isn’t an issue (and it is only about 6 inches wide), it allows light from the bathroom in to the bedroom area. There is also an always on night light in the bathroom right near this glass portion, so each night I had to cover it with a towel so I could make the bedroom area fully dark. Not a well thought out design element.

Against the window are two chairs and a small table.

The window has both a sun shade and a black out shade. My blackout shade was a bit off kilter. I also noticed that two of the overhead lights did not work — the one in the shower and one over the art in the bedroom area. If my room was any indication, the maintenance on the 10 year old property was substandard.

Bathroom
The bathroom has a nice large shower and two sinks.

The shower has both an overhead rain shower and a handheld shower head. Below you can see the light in the shower doesn’t work.

A large backlit mirror is above the two sinks. Though the water pressure in the shower was fine, the water pressure in the sinks was lacking.

The bath products are Lather branded. No bar soap is provided.

There is a gym on the ground floor that I didn’t get a chance to visit. I also didn’t try the restaurant on site as breakfast and lunch were included with my training and I had dinner out. I did use some of my daily credit for some beverages at the lobby market.
