This summer, between July 21 and August 8, I used my Frontier GoWild! Annual Pass to take ten flights at a total cost of $157.18 in taxes/fees, after an initial $299 pass purchase, to criss cross the country.
- I began my trip in Buffalo, NY after traveling around Canada and a visit to Niagara Falls. I wanted to get to Minneapolis to visit a friend, and ended up with a five hour layover in Denver.
- I ended up staying in Minneapolis an extra day to get a flight back to Denver and then on to Nashville.
- After a few days in Nashville, I returned to my home airport (via Denver) of Paine Field.
- I spent a few days at home before flying out of Paine Field again to Denver for a weekend training I needed to attend.
- I wanted to visit Cleveland but there was no space on the flight for the GoWild Pass. So instead, I had to splurge 20,000 Frontier Miles to get to Cleveland. This was the one time I couldn’t make flights work with the pass.
- Getting from Cleveland back home to Paine Field was a bit of a challenge. I ended up finding a directly flight to Phoenix with a layover before going to Vegas for a night. The next day I was able to get home.
With only one exception, I was always either able to get an exit row or one of the UpFront Plus seats or an exit row (non-middle seat) with my Elite Diamond status. The one time I didn’t get one of those, I ended up in the aisle in Row 8.
I never had to pay for luggage or a seat because of my status. I did check a bag one time (on the BNA-DEN-PAE portion); otherwise I carried on my bag and was always able to get a spot for it.
The only trips that I would have absolutely needed to pay for had I not had the pass for were the flight home from Buffalo and a roundtrip to Denver for my training. However those alone would have cost more than the entire GoWild pass plus the total I paid in taxes and fees (and maybe even the two nights in hotels I stayed to make the flights work).
I imagine I’ll be able to use the GoWild pass a few more times before it expires at the end of April, 2026.
If I lived in Denver (Frontier’s main hub), I can imagine the GoWild Pass being even more lucrative. As is, I am happy I purchased it this year and will likely purchase it again if it is on sale for the same $299 price.
