Capital One Lounge Denver Review

The third Capital One Lounge is located at Denver International Airport (DEN). Located in the A Terminal, the airport terminals are connected by a train so no matter the terminal you are leaving from, you can access the lounge.

Unlimited access to the lounge is free for Venture X cardholders plus two guests up to three hours before departure. No access is granted upon arrival.

Other Capital One cardholders can purchase pass to the lounge for $45:

Effective January 1, 2025, Venture and Spark Miles cardholders will no longer receive complimentary lounge access. You will have 2 complimentary visits to Capital One Lounges or Plaza Premium Lounges to use by December 31, 2024. Venture and Spark Miles cardholders can access Capital One Lounges at a special rate of $45 for themselves and their guests.

All other cardholders & non-customers can enter at the standard rate of $65.

The lounge is on the Mezzanine Level by Gate A34. It just happened that the day of my visit, my Frontier flight was departing out of gate A34 which made it extremely convenient.

There are escalators just past gate A34. Take the escalator up where you will check in by showing your Venture X card and boarding pass.

The area right behind the check in desk is the grab-and-go section. Basically if you are tight for time, or want to take items with you on your flight, you can take what you want before leaving. Most lounges discourage this behavior, but Capital One encourages it.

There is no hot food for grab and go but there are complimentary sandwiches and salads as well as various sparkling and still waters.

The lounge is laid out in a square with the check in and grab-and-go at the top of the square.

Entering the main part of lounge to the right and going clockwise, you first hit the buffet and bar.

Along the wall is the hot food. The full menu of food is available here.

I visited around 2pm. There was enough food and variety to have a full meal in the lounge. I enjoyed the chicken teriyaki and bison sloppy Joe. The mac and cheese was smokey and goopy, not my favorite.

There is a cold item island as well. The cucumber salad was very good.

You can also find pastries and desserts (cookies and brownies) at stations around the lounge.

In addition to the bar which serves complimentary cocktail, beer, and wine, you can also help yourself to various craft soft drinks as well as coffee and tea.

There is some seating around the bar and buffet. This is the one area with outside views.

Continuing on in the lounge are the restrooms. The restrooms are all private, all gender bathrooms. At one point during my visit there was a line to use the restrooms.

There is one nursing/family room available.

There is also a shower room that you must reserve. I was unable to view it as it was locked and/or in use.

The bottom part of the square of the lounge is more seating. There are plenty of outlets all around the lounge.

Continuing on is the “library” space that includes more private seating as well as workspaces that can be enclosed for private phone calls.

In this area are also the two relaxation rooms. You can reserve these rooms to take a quick nap. These were also booked during my visit, but I understand they have a lounge chair in each room.

The lounge is built around the escalators that open to the main terminal below. The walls are glass so it allows in plenty of light and makes the lounge feel open.

There is also plenty of Colorado inspired art all over the lounge.

I rarely find myself traveling through DEN, though the Capital One Lounge will surely make any travel through Denver more enjoyable. I prefer the Denver location to the lounge at DFW as it feels more open and was not as crowded during my visit. The food and drinks are high quality and tasty.

Have you visited the Capital One Lounge DEN? What did you think? Where would you like to see a Capital One Lounge in the future?
