How to Transfer World of Hyatt Points
With the transition from Hyatt Gold Passport to World of Hyatt, the process for transferring points from one account to another became a bit easier. Here is how to transfer World of Hyatt points from one member account to another.
Transferring Hyatt points from one account to another is great if you are splitting a room with a friend or family member. For an upcoming vacation, I am going to the all inclusive Hyatt Zilara Cancun. For three of us sharing a room the cost is 37,500 points per night (25,000 points for up to two guests plus 12,500 for each additional guest). I plan on booking the stay since I have status with Hyatt. Each of us are chipping in 12,500 points per night for the stay.
Under the Hyatt Gold Passport program, you had to download a form and fax it back to Hyatt. You also had to have a specific reservation in mind for the transfer.
The new steps to transfer World of Hyatt points is a bit simpler.
- Download and print this form: https://world.hyatt.com/content/dam/HGP/HyattFinalImages/world-of-hyatt/GP160016_PointCombining_RequestForm_EN_00b_R2.pdf
- Complete the form and have both members sign it. You can choose any amount of points to transfer.
- Scan the form and email it back to worldofhyatt@hyatt.com
It took less than 24 hours after submitting the request for me to receive an email saying the points had been combined.
Dear Mr. Single Flyer,
Thank you for contacting World of Hyatt!
We are pleased to confirm that, we have transferred 75000 points from your World of Hyatt account number: XXXXXXXXXX to XXXXXXXXXX.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you require any other assistance.
Best regards,
I was then able to immediately book the hotel. Note that if you run a Google search for the form, the first one that comes up is the outdated form that Hyatt will NOT accept. I learned this the hard way. You can you use the current form.
