Singapore Airlines First Class Lounge (SYD)

Singapore Airlines First Class Lounge Sydney is located in Terminal 1, the International Terminal, by gate 58.  It is located on the second floor; over what is soon to be a Starbucks Coffee.  Next to it is the Air New Zealand lounge and below it is the Emirates lounge.

When you first enter the lounge the desk agent will check your boarding pass.  If you are in Suite or First Class they will press a button that opens a hidden glass door to the right that leads to the First Class lounge.  Business Class lounge is on the left.

From the Lounge looking back at the glass door.

The front desk agent gave me a tour and was very friendly.  She explained she would come get me when it was time for me to board.  At first I was the only passenger in the Singapore Airlines First Class Lounge Sydney.  It gave me time to explore and take photos without being too obnoxious.

The first area you come to is a reading area with magazines and display of wines served in the lounge.  The champagne served in the lounge is Veuve.

You could also enter to win a bottle of Dom.  I entered, of course.

Next was the buffet area of the lounge.  However you can also order off a menu.

I had some of the satay chicken skewers that were quite tasty.  There were other options at the buffet.

The next room is full of cubicle type chairs that allow for privacy and work.

The restrooms are off of this area.  There is a men’s and women’s as well as two individual, unisex shower rooms.

The products are all quite nicely displayed.

The final room has views of the tarmac.  There are three pairs of oversized swivel chairs with small tables.

The Singapore Airlines First Class Lounge Sydney staff were quite attentive during my visit.  There were a total of four other passengers in the lounge so the staff to passenger ratio was about 1:1.

When it was time for me to board my flight, one of the staff came and found me and walked me to my gate.

The Singapore Airlines First Class Lounge Sydney is quite new and feels modern and very high end.  It isn’t sterile like some modern lounges but feels like you can relax and allow yourself to be served.  To have this good of a lounge at a non-hub airport is pretty impressive to me.
